“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15:13 NLT
“Blessed are those who dwell in Your house…” – Psalm 84:4
We have a hope about your future. A hope about the body of Christ. A hope that the world can be a better place. A hope that you will live your best life!
Every year we jointly commit to the task of resourcing the vision that God has given us. When we work together in unity we can build something that enables God to reach the world and be reconciled to Him. We are convinced that giving to God through Vision Builders secures a strong and exciting future for our church and fulfilling the 2020 Vision of C3 Global.
This year we are stepping out once again with great faith for the future.
Believing God that the best days are yet ahead.
You have been a team of absolute champions in the past. I know we will rise even higher as we step into the future, lifting those around us – our families, our friends, our community, our city and our nation.
Please pray and decide how you will be part of the miracle this year. We are asking all those who call C3 home to pray and ask God what they should give, over and above their tithes, to see us reach our vision. Together we can build a magnificent house of worship and connection that makes God famous throughout our city and around the earth!
Listen to all the messages in our Vision Builders series to hear the vision, the hope, and the future we see for C3 Church Dallas/Ft Worth!
We are a local expression of a global movement to fulfill the 2020 Vision of a 1000 churches by the year 2020 with an average membership of 500 people. Within that global vision there are local initiatives that make us more effective at reaching the goal.
We are believing that this year will be unlike any other in the amount of people who experience the power of the Gospel and the grace of Christ. People who decide to follow Jesus through grace by faith for the first time and connect to His church. Through reaching out to our community via Servolution and local advertising we will make a large effort to invite people to C3 Church like never before.
The C3 movement is about discipling people and releasing them into the calling on their lives. To empower and equip them to lead in their areas of purpose and calling, in their families, and in their everyday life. Through internship programs, specifically tailored connect groups, week-to-week training, regular team nights called One Heart, and an annual Leadership Summit we will see more and more people rise up into new positions and places that will bless the world around them.
More Holy Spirit
We are a connect driven, spirit-empowered church. We rely heavily on the Holy Spirit to lead us and empower us to impact our city and culture. We want to make room in our lives and church for Him to speak clearly. We will be creating resources, scheduling regular Presence nights, and making an effort to speak about who He is in creative ways on Sunday mornings. We will move with the Holy Spirit.
Our current facility has been a blessing for several years. It has given us a daily home and those of you who have been a part of our church for any length of time you know how important that is. It is time however, to set our eyes on the future and a new home. We see a church of hundreds gathering every week and out of that atmosphere several churches being planted…we’ll need a new building for this to happen effectively. We also see ourselves giving more to organizations making Christ know beyond our four walls and city limits.
Through your financial commitment VB2013 we will find ourselves in a location and a position to make these initiatives happen. Please pray and decide how you will be part of building this vision in 2013.
Here is how you can be a part of Vision Builders 2013…
Prayerfully consider the level of giving that you feel is appropriate for you. Your decision should be based on wisdom, prayer and faith. Remember, the philosophy of Vision Builders is equal sacrifice, not equal giving.
Make a formal commitment to give on a giving envelope or online. These are available each week and you can give online at any time.
We will have three more dates beyond our Commitment Sunday that will encourage us and remind us about our commitment to the vision of the house…May 5th, August 25th, and November 17th, which will be our final VB Giving Sunday of the year.
Choose your method of fulfillment
This is one of the most successful ways to fulfil your commitment by making a regular monthly contribution. Regular giving is rewarding and quickly builds momentum in your effort to meeting your goal. You can do this online or by designating on an offering envelope this Sunday.
This is a popular way of giving. Please visit the Online Giving page, complete the information required, select the ‘Vision Builders’ field and continue with the instructions. This is a very easy and user-friendly way to give wherever you are. This also works on your mobile phone.
This can be arranged through your employer or bank. Your bank can arrange regular transfers to occur automatically. You can also arrange regular payments via Internet banking. Alternatively, you can choose to make a payment from money currently available or when you receive a work bonus, tax refund or via an asset sale.
Q / What is the Vision Builders program?
A / The Vision Builders program is the overarching banner for our yearly initiatives that go beyond our weekly expenses. Vision Builders is responsible for raising the finance needed to facilitate all of these areas of our Church life.
Q / Are my Vision Builders contributions tax-deductible?
A / Yes. We will provide you with your giving record at the end of the year.
Q / Can I give to Vision Builders instead of Tithing?
A / Vision Builders giving should be seen as giving ‘over and above’ the tithe.
Q / What if I can’t fulfil my pledge?
A / Firstly, we encourage people to make realistic pledges. Having done that, we understand that sometimes unexpected events happen and for whatever reason people find difficulty in fulfilling their pledge within the timeframe. We suggest that you may still want to fulfil your pledge by breaking it down into smaller amounts over a longer period of time.
Q / I am in significant debt, should I pay off my debts or give to Vision Builders?
A / If you are in ‘out of control debt’, after your tithe the debt should be your next priority. Reducing the debt to a manageable amount (or even clearing it completely) should be attempted as you also make a manageable gift to Vision Builders. Remember no amount is insignificant.
Q / Do you need my details? I wish to remain anonymous.
A / You may remain anonymous if you wish, and all details of your giving will be kept confidential, however you will not be able to claim tax deductibility for your giving as we will be unable to give you a record of your giving.
Q / How do we know where the money goes?
A / Funds are spent in accordance with the initiatives presented in this brochure and as updated during the year. All our accounts are independently audited annually.
Q / I am only new to church, should I be giving to Vision Builders? If so, why?
A / There is no pressure for anyone, new or old to give to Vision Builders, nor is there any minimum requirement. New people who would like to give are most welcome, as is anyone who resonates with the vision we have for The Church.
Q / How should I determine how much to give to Vision Builders?
A / A combination of wisdom, prayer and faith should be used in determining how much to give. Proverbs 24:3 (TLB) says, “Any enterprise is built by wise planning, becomes strong through common sense, and profits wonderfully by keeping abreast of the facts.” If in doubt, please seek counsel from your connect leaders or those around you who have participated in Rise and Build or Vision Builders in the past.
Q / What can I expect from Vision Builders?
A / Your giving and faith you will build the local church through the following areas…worship experience, facility improvements, leadership development, and church planting.
